Impulsive fishery resource transporting strategies based on an open‐ended stochastic growth model having a latent variable

چکیده

In inland fisheries, transporting fishery resource individuals from a habitat to spatially apart habitat(s) has recently been considered for fisheries stock management in the natural environment. However, its mathematical optimization, especially finding when and how much of population should be transported, is still fundamental unresolved issue. We propose new impulse control framework tackle this issue based on simple but stochastic growth model individual fishes. The novel governing individuals' body weights uses Wright–Fisher as latent driver reproduce plausible dynamics. optimization problem formulated an cost–benefit functional constrained by degenerate parabolic Fokker–Planck equation Because dynamics have observable variable unobservable (a difficult or impossible observe), we consider both full-information partial-information cases. latter more involved realistic because not explicitly using designing controls. cases, resolving reduces solving associated adjoint equations, being nontrivial. present derivation procedure internal boundary conditions time efficiently derive optimal strategy. finally provide demonstrative computational example Ayu sweetfish Plecoglossus altivelis latest real data set.

mortality forecasting based on lee-carter model

over the past decades a number of approaches have been applied for forecasting mortality. in 1992, a new method for long-run forecast of the level and age pattern of mortality was published by lee and carter. this method was welcomed by many authors so it was extended through a wider class of generalized, parametric and nonlinear model. this model represents one of the most influential recent d...

Ranking evaluation of institutions based on a Bayesian network having a latent variable

This paper proposes a new probabilistic graphical model which contains an unobservable latent variable that affects all other observable variables, and the proposed model is applied to ranking evaluation of institutions using a set of performance indicators. Linear Gaussian models are used to express the causal relationship among variables. The proposed iterative method uses a combined causal d...

An Explanatory Model for Individual Performance Based on a Commitment Human Resource Approach

Enhancing employee performance is of great concern among state organizations. The purpose of this article is to study the impact of perceived committed HRM on individual performance with the mediating roles of job stress and job commitment and the moderating roles of job skills and perceived supervisor support among the employees of the Education Department of Qazvin Province. Based on Morgan’s...

A Latent-Variable Lattice Model

Markov random field (MRF) learning is intractable, and the approximation algorithms are computationally expensive. Since only a small subset of MRF is used frequently in computer vision, we characterize this subset with three concepts: (1) Lattice, (2) Homogeneity, and (3) Inertia; and design a non-markov high-bias low-variance model as an alternative to this subclass of MRF. Our goal is robust...

An Individual-based Fishery Model and Assessing Fishery Stability

The stability of a fishery system was investigated using two forms of a stochastic computer simulation model that was individually based in terms of the fishing boats. Fish catch was partitioned among boats according to two catch processes: an unranked process in which all boats had equal ability to catch fish and a ranked catch model in which a boat’s ability to catch fish depended on its weal...
